FAQ / Common Problems
Q: Why does it say "Login: Null" or "Multiplayer is disabed. Please check your Microsoft account settings" when trying to join a server?
A: Multiplayer is off/disabled. Follow these steps to enable it:
- Log in to Xbox.com with your Microsoft account.
- Click your account in the upper-right corner, then select Xbox profile.
- On your profile page, click Settings, then select Safety & Privacy -> Manage safety & privacy settings.
- In Privacy & online safety, click the "Xbox and Windows 10 Online Safety" tab.
- Scroll to "You can join multiplayer games", set it to "Allow", then click "SUBMIT" at the bottom of the page.
Important: After changing this setting, Microsoft can be slow to apply the update, and it only affects new sessions created after the change. Most launchers and clients cache sessions, which is why you might still see the error even after logging out and back in. I usually suggest using a different launcher than the one you previously used with the account until about 24 hours later, when it will naturally receive a new session (sessions typically expire after 24 hours).
